Helis association is organizing the first Archaeology Festival on the territory of the Archaeological reserve of Sboryanovo – Sboryanovo – discover, know, narrate. The festival is the culmination of the eponymous project, which the association is realizing since the summer of 2022.
The event is scheduled for the 17th of June 2023 and the location is the Reception centre near the Thracian Tomb of Sveshtari, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The event is completely free of charge and it will be held between 9:30 a. m. and 4:30 p. m.
The festival will include four interactive workshops as well as an archaeological excavation game guided by an archeologist working at the reserve. They are suitable for young people, students, children in the age of 5 and over and for their families, as well as for adults. Visitors will be able to learn, observe relevant techniques, used by our ancestors, as well as and try every process with their hands. They will have the chance to take away a souvenir from some of the workshops.
